Use the Wiza + Clay integration to send contacts or companies from Wiza to a Clay table through a webhook.
This guide covers Wiza’s direct Clay integration. It does not require a Wiza API key. To use Wiza’s API from a Clay enrichment column, see How to integrate Wiza with Clay.
Before you start
Make sure you can manage integrations in Wiza. If integration access is restricted, ask an admin.
Make sure you can edit the Clay workbook and table that will receive the data.
Connect Clay in Wiza
In Wiza, select Integrate.
On the Clay card, select Connect. Wiza opens the Clay settings page.
Create a webhook in Clay
In Clay, open the workbook and table that should receive the data.
Select + Add in the table footer, then select Webhook.
If you want to use an auth token, add it in Clay. Keep a copy of the token.
Copy the webhook URL.
Add the webhook to Wiza
On the Wiza Clay settings page, choose Contact Webhooks for contacts or Company Webhooks for companies.
Select Add Webhook.
Enter a name and paste the Clay webhook URL.
If you added an auth token in Clay, enter the same token in Wiza.
Select Add webhook.
The first webhook you add for each type becomes active. Wiza uses one active contact webhook and one active company webhook at a time. The webhook URL must use HTTPS and the api.clay.com domain.
Send data to Clay
In Wiza, select Integrate and turn on the Primary toggle on the Clay card.
Open the list you want to sync and select Sync.
Choose the contacts or companies to sync, then select Start Sync.
Wiza sends the records to the active Clay webhook for that record type.
Send data to a different Clay table
Add another webhook for the same record type in Wiza. Then select Set as active on the webhook for the table you want to use. Wiza sends future syncs to that active webhook.
Troubleshooting
No records arrive in Clay: Make sure Clay is the Primary integration and that the correct contact or company webhook is active.
Wiza rejects the webhook URL: Make sure the URL uses HTTPS and the
api.clay.comdomain.The request fails authentication: Make sure the token in Wiza matches the token in Clay. If you did not set a token in Clay, leave the token field blank in Wiza.
