If you come across a phone number that turns out to be wrong, disconnected, or not the right person, you can report it directly in Wiza in just a few clicks. Your feedback helps improve data quality for your team and can trigger a fresh phone lookup at no extra cost.

Where to Report a Bad Phone Number

The reporting option is available in two places:

  • Wiza Prospect β€” Next to any revealed phone number, click the flag icon labeled "Flag as inaccurate."

  • LinkedIn plugin β€” The same flag icon appears on the contact card.

What You'll Be Asked to Provide

When submitting a report, you'll need to include:

  • A reason β€” such as Wrong person, Disconnected number, or Generic number.

  • Additional details (required) β€” for example, what happened when you called.

πŸ’‘ Tip: The more specific your notes, the more useful the report. For example: "Reached the company switchboard, not the prospect."

What Happens After You Submit

  • Wiza confirms the report and immediately begins looking for a replacement phone number.

  • The replacement lookup runs without using an additional phone credit.

  • You cannot report the same phone number twice on the same profile β€” but you can report a different number on that profile if needed.

How Wiza Uses Your Reports

  • The reported number is flagged as invalid for you immediately.

  • If multiple users report the same number on the same profile, Wiza can mark it as globally invalid β€” removing it for everyone.

  • This collective feedback helps improve phone data quality across the platform over time.

Best Practices for Reporting

  • Only report confirmed bad numbers β€” wrong person, disconnected line, or a generic company number.

  • Be specific in your notes β€” details like "voicemail belonged to someone else" help Wiza process the report more accurately.
