UPDATE: Changes to Chrome extension for LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, and Recruiter

What changed in the Wiza Chrome extension: bulk export and list creation removed from LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, and Recruiter search pages, profile buttons moved to the side panel, and how to build lists now.

Written by Support

LinkedIn has tightened what third-party extensions can do on its platform. Wiza has updated its Chrome extension to match.

What changed

  1. Bulk export and multi-select are gone from LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, and Recruiter search, list, and company pages.

  2. Profile actions moved into the Wiza side panel in your browser.

  3. In Sales Navigator, open a full profile rather than a preview.

Applies to all accounts and plans.

The extension still works on individual person and company profiles. To build lists, use Wiza Prospect, CSV upload, or CRM import.

Profile actions: before on the page, now in the side panel

You can still find contact details for one person at a time, add them to a Wiza list, and sync them to your connected CRM. What changed is where you click.

Wiza buttons no longer appear on the LinkedIn profile page itself. Open any person or company profile and click the floating Wiza icon on the right-hand side of your screen. Wiza opens in your browser's side panel, beside the profile, and all of those actions live there.

Open the full profile, not the preview

In Sales Navigator, clicking someone in a lead search or a lead list opens a preview pane beside the results. Wiza does not read previews. The side panel will show a prompt to open a profile page instead of that person's details.

Wiza reads full profiles, not previews. If the panel is asking you to open a profile page, you are looking at a preview. Open the person's full profile or open their name in a new tab.

To reveal contact info, open the person's full profile, or open their name in a new tab. The side panel then loads their details and the Reveal contact info button appears.

The same applies to companies. Account lists and account searches open company previews, and you need the full company page.

Clicking a lead opens a preview. Wiza does not read previews, so the panel asks you to open a profile page.

Frequently asked questions

Exports and bulk selection:

Why can't I export from Sales Navigator anymore?

LinkedIn has tightened what third-party extensions can do on its platform. Wiza updated its Chrome extension to match, and exporting from Sales Navigator search pages, lead lists, and account lists is no longer available. This applies to all accounts and plans. To build the same list, use the available filters to search for those people in Wiza Prospect, then enrich that search to create a Wiza List.

Why can't I export from LinkedIn Recruiter anymore?

Exporting from LinkedIn Recruiter search results is no longer available in the Wiza Chrome extension. LinkedIn has tightened what third-party extensions can do on its platform and Wiza updated the extension to match. This applies to all accounts and plans. To build a candidate list, use Wiza Prospect to search by title, skills, education, past companies, and location, or upload a CSV of LinkedIn URLs you already have.

Why can't I export from LinkedIn search?

Exporting from LinkedIn search results pages is no longer available in the Wiza Chrome extension. LinkedIn has tightened what third-party extensions can do on its platform. This applies to all accounts and plans. Build the list in Wiza Prospect instead, then enrich it or send it to a connected tool.

Why can't I select multiple profiles anymore?

Multi-selecting people or companies has been removed from LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, and Recruiter search pages, list pages, and company pages. This includes selecting just two profiles. This includes selecting just two profiles. LinkedIn has tightened what third-party extensions can do on its platform. To collect multiple contacts, build the list in Wiza Prospect, upload a CSV, or import from your CRM.

Can I still select employees from a company page?

No. Multi-selecting people or companies from a LinkedIn company page has been removed, along with bulk and selected exports from search and list pages. LinkedIn has tightened what third-party extensions can do on its platform. To build a list of people at a company, search for that company in Wiza Prospect and filter by the roles you need.

Where is the Wiza export button?

The Wiza export button has been removed from LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, and Recruiter search and list pages. This is intentional, not a bug. LinkedIn has tightened what third-party extensions can do on its platform. The Wiza side panel still appears when you open an individual person or company profile. To export a list, build it in Wiza Prospect and export from there.

Finding Wiza on LinkedIn profiles:

The Wiza buttons disappeared from LinkedIn. Is the extension broken?

No. The extension is working as intended. Two things changed. Export and list-creation controls were removed from LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, and Recruiter search and list pages. Wiza buttons were also removed from individual profile pages, and those actions moved into the Wiza side panel. To open the side panel, go to any person or company profile and click the floating Wiza icon on the right-hand side of your screen.

Where did the Find Email and Find Phone buttons go on LinkedIn profiles?

Those buttons no longer appear on the LinkedIn profile page. Revealing contact details now happens in the Wiza side panel. Open the profile, click the floating Wiza icon on the right-hand side of your screen, and the side panel opens with the reveal actions inside it. The functionality is the same, only the entry point moved.

How do I open the Wiza side panel?

When the Wiza Chrome extension is installed, a floating Wiza icon appears on the right-hand side of your screen. Click it and Wiza opens in your browser's side panel, beside the page you are on. The icon appears across regular LinkedIn profiles, Sales Navigator profiles, Sales Navigator searches, Sales Navigator lead and account lists, and LinkedIn Recruiter. To reveal contact details, add someone to a Wiza list, or sync to your CRM, open an individual person or company profile first, then open the side panel.

I don't see the floating Wiza icon. What should I check?

Confirm the Wiza Chrome extension is installed and enabled in Chrome, then refresh the LinkedIn page. The floating icon sits on the right-hand edge of your screen. If it still does not appear, remove and reinstall the extension from the Chrome Web Store, then refresh. If that does not resolve it, message us in the app.

Can I still find someone's email and phone number on LinkedIn?

Yes. Open the person's individual LinkedIn profile, click the floating Wiza icon on the right-hand side of your screen to open the Wiza side panel, and their contact details will appear there if Wiza has them in its database. If Wiza does not have the contact, the side panel will show that the contact was not found. Revealing contact info one person at a time still works exactly as before. The only change is that you open the side panel instead of clicking a button on the profile page.

How do I sync a LinkedIn contact to my CRM now?

Open the person's individual LinkedIn profile, click the floating Wiza icon on the right-hand side of your screen to open the Wiza side panel, and use the CRM actions there. The CRM sync buttons that used to appear on the profile page itself have moved into the side panel. Your CRM connection and sync settings are unchanged.

Can I still use Wiza on company pages?

Yes. Open a full company page and the Wiza side panel shows company details such as headcount, location, and domain, along with the option to sync the company to your connected CRM. As with people, this works on the full company page, not on a company preview.

The Wiza icon is on my Sales Navigator search page but I can't export. Why?

The floating Wiza icon still appears on Sales Navigator searches, lead lists, and account lists, but exporting and list creation from those pages is no longer available. LinkedIn has tightened what third-party extensions can do on its platform. When you open the side panel on one of those pages, it prompts you to open a profile or company page, and it gives you a Wiza Prospect search box so you can build a list without leaving LinkedIn. To reveal contact details for one person, open their full profile first, then open the side panel.

Sales Navigator previews:

I clicked a lead in Sales Navigator but Wiza is not showing their info

Clicking someone in a Sales Navigator lead search or lead list opens a preview pane, and Wiza does not read previews. The side panel will prompt you to open a profile page instead of showing that person. Open their full profile, or open their name in a new tab, and the side panel will load their details with the Reveal contact info button. The same applies to companies on account lists and account searches.

Wiza says my contact is not found, but I can see them in Sales Navigator

First check whether you are looking at a preview rather than a full profile. Clicking a lead in a Sales Navigator search or lead list opens a preview pane, and Wiza does not read previews. Open the person's full profile, or open their name in a new tab, then check the side panel. If you are on the full profile and Wiza still shows the contact as not found, that contact is not in the Wiza database.

Building lists now:

How do I create a list now?

There are three ways to create a Wiza list. Search Wiza Prospect and save results to a list. Upload a CSV of LinkedIn URLs, emails, names, or company domains. Or import contacts from your connected CRM. You can still add contacts to a list one at a time from an individual LinkedIn profile using the Wiza side panel.

How do I export leads from Sales Navigator now?

You can no longer export leads directly from Sales Navigator pages using the Wiza extension. Rebuild the audience in Wiza Prospect using filters like job title, seniority, location, company size, and industry, then save to a list and export. If you already have the LinkedIn URLs in a spreadsheet, upload them as a CSV instead

Can I search Wiza Prospect without leaving LinkedIn?

Yes. Open the Wiza side panel from the floating icon and use the Prospect search box inside it. On people pages it searches for contacts, and on company pages and account lists it searches for companies. This is the fastest way to rebuild a search you used to run on a Sales Navigator page.

Can I still use my Sales Navigator lead and account lists?

Yes. You can continue to create and organize lead and account lists inside Sales Navigator. To use Wiza on someone in a list, open their individual profile first. In a Sales Navigator lead list, select the menu beside a lead and choose View Profile.

Can Support turn this back on for my account?

No. This change applies to all accounts and plans. Support cannot enable an exception or restore the previous workflow for an individual user, team, or plan.

Can I use an older version of the extension to keep exporting?

No. Older versions are not a supported workaround. Please use the current version of the Wiza extension.

Do I need to update or reinstall the extension?
