Wiza Salesloft Integration — Everything You Need to Know

A complete guide to the Wiza + Salesloft integration: setup, key settings, cadence workflow, troubleshooting, and FAQ.

What Wiza + Salesloft Does

Wiza connects to Salesloft so reps can push enriched contacts directly into Salesloft, keep records updated, and add people to Cadences — all without leaving Wiza.

Key things to know about how Salesloft works in Wiza:

  • Salesloft person records are called Person — not Contact or Lead. Wiza labels sync actions accordingly

  • Wiza uses Cadence language for Salesloft (vs "Sequence" for Outreach) — buttons and statuses show "Add to Cadence" / "Added to Cadence"

  • Salesloft visibility in the Integrations page is tied to sequencing being enabled for that user/account — if you don't see it, sequencing may not be enabled yet

  • Users can make Salesloft the Primary sync method so regular sync actions default there

  • Salesloft sync works in both list workflows and Prospect workflows

  • Once synced, users can open the Salesloft record directly from Wiza using View in Salesloft

  • If the connection breaks, Wiza surfaces a Broken state with a Fix now path — available even when admin-only integration management is enabled

  • Reconnecting preserves your previous setup — field mappings, settings, and preferences are kept when you reconnect Salesloft

How to Set It Up

  1. Go to Integrate in Wiza and find Salesloft

  2. Click Connect — a Salesloft login/authorization pop-up will open

  3. Once complete, Wiza confirms: "Your Salesloft account has been linked!"

  4. Click Configure on the Salesloft card to open field mapping and settings

  5. Choose your primary object type (for Salesloft this is Person)

  6. Review duplicate handling and configure account/contact association settings

  7. Map Wiza fields to Salesloft fields and save your mapping

  8. (Optional) Toggle Primary on the Salesloft card if you want it to be your team's default sync destination

Note: If Salesloft is not visible in Integrations, your account may not have sequencing enabled yet — contact support to check.

Key Settings Users Should Know

  • Update existing contacts regardless of ownership — lets updates apply even if records are owned by other Salesloft users (subject to Salesloft permissions)

  • Account create/update behavior — control whether Wiza creates or updates related Account (company) records in Salesloft

  • Contact-account association behavior — control how contacts are linked to accounts

  • Add to Salesloft Cadence after CRM sync — enable this to automatically enroll synced records into a cadence after sync completes

  • Verify Wiza phone numbers with Salesloft data (admin/manager setting) — enables phone quality feedback using Salesloft call outcome data

  • Apply settings to all users — admins and managers can enforce one mapping and settings standard across the whole account

Adding People to a Salesloft Cadence

Cadence enrollment in Wiza works as follows:

  • When starting a list sync, users can choose Add to Salesloft Cadence after CRM sync

  • Wiza syncs the contact to Salesloft first, then handles cadence enrollment — the two steps happen in sequence

  • Users select a cadence from the dropdown before confirming sync

  • Status labels in the UI confirm when someone has been Added to Cadence

  • Use View in Salesloft to verify both the person record and cadence enrollment directly in Salesloft

Important: If CRM sync succeeds but cadence enrollment fails, Wiza surfaces a Salesloft-specific error message. Capture the exact error text for faster triage.

Recent User-Visible Updates

  • Cadence labels fully surfaced — list/prospect UI now consistently uses "Cadence" language for Salesloft across buttons, dropdowns, and status labels

  • Salesloft integration card gated by sequencing availability — reduces clutter for accounts not using sequencing

  • Phone data quality verification toggle (admin/manager setting) — configurable in integration settings to improve phone quality using Salesloft call outcomes

  • Reconnect flow preserves setup — field mappings, settings, and preferences are retained when reconnecting after re-auth

  • Clearer sync reporting — created/updated/error summaries are now more readable and explicit

Support Troubleshooting Checklist

1) Confirm visibility

  • If Salesloft is missing from Integrations entirely, verify that sequencing is enabled for that user/account

2) Confirm connection health

  • In Integrations, confirm Salesloft is connected and not marked Broken

  • If Broken, have the user click Fix now to reconnect — their prior setup will be preserved

3) Confirm user permissions

  • If the user gets access-denied messaging, verify whether the account restricts integration management to admins only

  • If restricted, an admin will need to connect/configure, or temporarily allow users to manage integrations

  • Note: broken integration repair via Fix now is always available even in restricted mode

4) Confirm Salesloft is set as Primary (if expected)

  • If sync seems to be going elsewhere, check the Primary toggle on the Integrations page

5) Verify cadence workflow path

  • Confirm the user is using Add to Salesloft Cadence (not Outreach sequence wording)

  • Confirm a cadence is actually selected in the modal/dropdown before starting sync

6) Confirm record type expectations

  • If the user asks why Wiza isn't creating a Contact or Lead, clarify that Salesloft sync creates/updates Person records — this is expected behavior

7) Check duplicate and update settings

  • In Configure, validate "Update existing contacts regardless of ownership" is set as the team expects

8) Check account and contact configuration

  • Confirm create/update account settings and contact-account association choices match the customer's workflow

9) Phone quality issues

  • If users expect phone verification insights, ensure "Verify Wiza phone numbers with Salesloft data" is enabled (admin/manager setting)

10) Handle sync error messages

  • Ask for the exact Wiza sync error text — Salesloft errors are surfaced as "Salesloft error: …" which helps isolate root cause quickly

  • Use "View in Salesloft" links from Wiza to confirm whether the person record exists and cadence enrollment happened

11) Escalate if still failing — include:

  • Screenshot of Integrations card status

  • Screenshot or text of exact sync error

  • Whether the issue is list sync vs. one-off Prospect sync

  • Whether cadence enrollment was enabled

  • Whether integration management is restricted on the account

FAQ

Q: Why don't I see Salesloft in Integrations?
A: Salesloft is shown when sequencing is enabled for your user/account. If sequencing isn't enabled, the card may not appear — contact support to check.

Q: Why does Wiza say "Cadence" instead of "Sequence"?
A: In Wiza, Salesloft uses cadence language by design — "Add to Cadence" and "Added to Cadence" are the correct labels for Salesloft.

Q: What object does Wiza create in Salesloft?
A: Person. That's the expected behavior for Salesloft in Wiza — not Contact or Lead.

Q: Can I auto-add people to a Salesloft cadence from a list run?
A: Yes — use "Add to Salesloft Cadence after CRM sync." Wiza syncs to Salesloft first, then handles cadence enrollment.

Q: I'm blocked from connecting/disconnecting integrations. Why?
A: Your account may restrict integration management to admins. Ask an admin for access or to make the change on your behalf.

Q: My integration says Broken. What should I do?
A: Use Fix now from the Integrations page to reconnect. This is the normal recovery path.

Q: Will reconnecting wipe my field mapping setup?
A: No — Wiza preserves prior mapping, settings, and preferences when reconnecting Salesloft.

Q: Why can't I find a "View setup guide" button for Salesloft?
A: Salesloft currently does not have a help article linked in the integration card UI, so that button does not appear for Salesloft.

Q: How do I know if cadence enrollment worked?
A: You'll see status language like "Added to Cadence" in Wiza, and can use "View in Salesloft" to verify the person record and cadence enrollment directly.

Q: What if CRM sync succeeded but cadence enrollment failed?
A: Wiza can show a Salesloft-specific error message even when CRM sync is successful. Capture the exact error text and share it with support for faster triage.

Q: Can non-admin users manage the Salesloft integration?
A: It depends on account policy. Admins can restrict integration management, but users can always fix a broken integration using Fix now.

Q: Can we enforce one Salesloft mapping for the whole team?
A: Yes — admins and managers can apply settings and field mappings account-wide from the Salesloft configuration page.

💡 Best positioning for customers: "The Wiza + Salesloft integration lets you push enriched contacts directly into Salesloft as People, enroll them in a Cadence in one step, and verify every record with a direct View in Salesloft link — all without leaving Wiza."
